i have a 1986 cadillac deville and get error codes 52 and 26 could u please tell me what they mean and where maybe i could find this information a little easier next time..thank you so much

26 = shorted throttle switch within the idle speed control motor.

QUESTION: have you at anytime tried to manually adjust the idle speed ?.

52 = battery was disconnected as sometime in the recent past.


First, CLEAR (erase) these codes from the computer via the climate control panel and see which codes come back and how many times each code appears.
