Expert: autohelp - 10/29/2008

Question
My engine control light has been on for about 6 mths. But a week ago it started
running sluggish  and now it don t go over 35 or so, unless i go down a hill.  
When i press the gas to hard in drive it dies out but not in park or N. My LCD is
broken so i cant see any codes. Can you help me?

1. Either FIX the LCD screen or you will have to take the car down to most any auto parts store and have them use their scanner to see what codes you have and make SURE that you find out:

A. What codes you have.
B. Which codes are HISTORY and which codes are CURRENT.
C. Have them CLEAR (erase) ALL the codes.
D. Drive the car until the engine control light comes back ON.
E. Take the car back to the auto parts store and have them re-read
  the codes.
F. Write down the codes and ask them which codes are HISTORY and
  which codes are CURRENT.

G. Let me know which codes are HISTORY and which codes are CURRENT.
