Expert: autohelp - 10/26/2008

Hello:

A couple of weeks ago the center display cluster on dash went completely dark.  The next day the display illuminated for less than a minute than went blank.  The following day the same thing.  Since then the center display cluster does not illuminate.

All the icons at the top of the cluster when starting the engine are lit and go off as they should when engine started.

Have checked fuse for this cluster and the fuse is fine.  What now?  I have little money living on fixed income and need vehicle.  It only has 83K and I am second owner.

IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

What work or diagnostics of ANYKIND WHAT-SO-EVER have been performed on the vehicle trying to fix this problem ?.


Does the climate control panel and the fuel display work ?.
