Question
I own a 1997 cadillac seville STS.  I purchsed a new Intersttae battery and already had to replce it once.  Throughout this time I've been getting a THEFT SYSTEM PROBLEM CAR MAY NOT RESTART message.  My car doesn't hold its charge and does all types of weird things such as no radio ,lights blinking,no fuel or dash indicators that work etc.

Answer
You may have a fault in the RIM MODULE. simply unplugging it and plugging it back in may resolve your problem. If this does NOT work, replace it.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
