Question
My question is,when Im driving my 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham on the parkway it dose not want to go over 70mph ? The car seems to want to go but when you hit the gas it holds back. What's the Deal ? Dose this car have a speed governor,I can't figure it out.

Answer
IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

What work or diagnostics of ANYKIND WHAT-SO-EVER have been performed on the vehicle trying to fix this problem ?.

There is NO speed govenor on this year vehicle.

You may want to check the fuel pressure and or when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter.

You also may have the start of the catalytic converter starting to plug up.
