Question
QUESTION: This is a strange problem which has only recently developed. When I press the brake pedal the radio transmission becomes full of static. Doesn't matter what station the radio is tuned to. I can tap on the brake and push it down at a red light and in both instances this negatively impacts radio transmission.
Can you diagnose this?  Cost of repair?

ANSWER: Did you put a CB (citizens Band) radio in the vehicle so you could talk to the truck drivers ?.

The only other radio is the one that is installed by the manufacturer and this radio only RECEIVES radio signals and cannot send out radio TRANSMISSIONS.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Perhaps I worded my question such that you think I am trying to transmit. That would be incorrect. No, I don't have a CB, only the original radio from the factory.

Answer
OK, What you are saying is that your are getting static interference on the radio during reception when you step on the brake pedal.

IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

What work or diagnostics of ANYKIND WHAT-SO-EVER have been performed on the vehicle trying to fix this problem ?.
