Question
I have a 1996 Cadillac Deville. The a/c will come on sometimes and sometimes not. When it blows it puts out cold air. Sometimes it will come on and blow on high for a minute then stop. Does this sound like an expensive repair?

Answer
I believe you are referring to the blower motor that blows air thru the different vents depending upon whether your using the bottom vents for heat, the center vents for A/C or the defroster vents for the windshield.

When the blower motor IS running do all the vents work correctly as stated above ?.

If your problem is with the blower motor not producing air thru these vents your problem is either the blower motor nad or the programmer  for the A/C-heater system.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
