Cadillac Repair/drivers door window

Question
I have a 1995 Cadillac Eldorado and I hit the down lever to lower the window.  Everything appeared to be fine, I only lowered it about 1/4 of the way down.  When I went to adjust it later it was finished, broken.  I am thinking of trying to remove the component that the lever is in.  It appears that it might come out without taking off the complete door panel. I normally just go ahead and break something but this time I have decided to ask an expert for help
Here is how it appears, the unit that the levers are in are mounted in the drivers left arm rest. I see no means of removal?  Do I pry it in an upward direction with something?  Also what will I do then?
Thanks for any help you can give me before I totally distroy it as usual.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
