Question
Hi, I have a 1995 cadillac deville and recently had its transmission rebuilt,it worked ok for a week then it started working like it was taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear had to give a lot of gas to move. So went back to tranny shop they said it was a piece on top of trans that linkage hooks to, ok. Drove it for another day and now its blowing a fuse that controls the shifting, so its back into limp mode mechanic calls it. Mechanic has checked for bare wires but no luck. Have you run into this situation before and if so what was the problem? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you      Jeff

Answer
He is most likely indicating that the transmission selector switch is faulty.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
