Expert: autohelp - 11/10/2008

my service engine soon light recently came on but only does on the first start up for the day and when i use the remote start. the codes i got from it are E30,E52,E67.  after being driven, shut down then started again it doesnt come on. any suggestions? thanks

The FIRST thing you need to do is CLEAR (erase) ALL these codes from the computer and see if they come back.

If these codes are ONLY appearing as E codes and NOT EE codes, Just CLEAR them in this manner:

1. Turn igntion switch ON.

2. Do NOT start the engine.

3. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them. After the codes display you will see .7.0

4. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI (fan) buttons on the climtate control for 3 seconds until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.

5. turn OFF the ignition for 15 seconds and then start the engine and see if they come back.
