Question
I have a 1989 Cadillac fleet wood brougham edition. I am able to have the window go down but it will not go up. I checked the wiring and it appears to be in shape. All other devices such as cigarette lighter and window down options work. I would like to bypass the switch but i am unable to locate the color coding of the wires to figure which do the "up" option.

Answer
ALL the windows wiring goes to the drivers master switch BEFORE it goes to the other windows. You may have a faulty master switch, Faulty rear window switch or a faulty motor.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
