Question
i have a 200 eldarado and my father installed an automatic stater. since then he was having problems with the theft system and the ar will start and say the car may not restart. we got the automatic starter taken off and the car still says antitheft car may not restart. not all the time but at very inconveient times!!! i was told that it could be the key cylinder. is this true and how can we change it.?

Could be the:

Key cylinder.

Ignition key.

Pass-key module.

wiring fault in the pass-key system.


If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
