Question
QUESTION: What controls do I turn on to prevent the windows in the back fogging up? I feel like I've tried everything on the 98 sts seville

ANSWER: Are you referring to the passengers rear seat windows or the rear window of the vehicle ?.

What is the YEAR and MODEL of the vehicle ?.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I'm talking about the passengers windows in the rear of the car. The rear window all the way in the back defrost fine.

Answer
On the instrument panel you will see the AUTO button and just below it the FRONT button which is for windshield defrost. Just below the front defrost button you will see the REAR button which is for the rear window defrosters.

Does the rear button illuminate when you press it ?.

You have a problem either with the rear defog relay and or the REAR INTEGRATION MODULE or you have a broken grid line on the back window which is those lines that go across the rear window.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
