Cadillac Repair/1991 Seville Heater core problem

Question
QUESTION: No heat coming from vents. AC works fine, but when I switch to heat, it blows properly, just not hot. I've taken apart my gove box, blend door seems to be working. Replaced the heater control valve (which did not do anything as it doesn't regulate anything, just a hole through a 3 part plastic tubing). Still nothing. I flushed the heater core last night and a bunch of junk came out. Kept cleaning til it was clear. Today still no heat. Think it is a bad heater core or could it be something else? Please help! Thanks!

ANSWER: Disconnect the vacuum line oing to the heater valve as there should be NO VACUUM at this hose in order to let the water flow thru the heater core.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.

QUESTION: Thank you for your reply, however, I am still at a loss with this. There are 3 hoses going into a T split heater valve. Are one of these hoses the vacuum line you are referring to or is it somewhere else? Is this all I need to do to get is working once I actually find it and disconnect? Is it possible it is a bad heater core even though water is flowing through it...all hoses are hot when running and heater is turned to high. Many thanks!!
