Subject: Cadillac Deville 1988

Question
I just bought a 1988 Deville, seemingly no major problems, until the #6 fuse fell out and I could not get it back in.  Now it won't start, lights don't work etc.....Is this fuse the core of the circuit breaker?

Answer
# 6 fuse controls the cooling fans.  Check your climate control panel for CODES:

1. Turn ignition ON. Do NOT start engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Watch the display for CODES and write them down EXACTLY as they appear until you see .7.0

4. Let me know what they are.

5. turn ignition OFF.

Do you have spark to the spark plugs ?.

Do you have fuel emitting from the 2 injectors as you crank the engine ?.
