Question my Cadillac is a 1989 brougham 5.0 litter and is carburetor, is not idling right is to high when in park and to low of idle when in gear how can i fix the problem
Answer IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light on the dash ever illuminated while driving the vehicle.
The fault is most likely a fault in the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) and or a fault in the Idle Speed Control motor (ISC).
