Question
I have a 83 deville.  It starts and idles fine.  I can rev the motor with the throttle, and revs fine.  When I put it in gear and try to accellarate, It dogs out real bad and just wont go.  I have replaced the ecm, eeprom, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.  It has 58,000 original miles.  After replacing all that I checked it for codes, and got:

13 - Oxygen sensor failure

23 - Mixture control solenoid

21 - Throttle position sensor too high

My question is:  If I replace these three will that correct the problem, and are they easy to access?  Thank you.

Answer
First replace the oxygen sensor, Clean ALL the spark plugs if they are carbon fouled or replace them, CLEAR (erase) the 3 CODES from the computer and then restart the car and see if the CODES reappear.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
