Question
On my 1997 Cadillac De Ville, I have heat but the fan does not work. The owner's manual was unclear as to which fuse is for the blower, but all the fuses seem good. If I put battery power to the fan it works. Where else should I be looking?

Answer
Your problem is either with the:

INSTRUMENT PANEL CONTROL PANEL.
HEATER & AC PROGRAMMER (ACM).
BLOWER MOTOR.
WIRING TO AND FROM ALL THE ABOVE.

Usually you need a scanner in order to test the system but there are some test procedures that you can easily perform using a digital VOLT/OHM meter which you can purchase at any auto parts store or at WAL-MART or K-MART.

Once you have your meter you will need several pictures and directives to test the system components. Please e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com
