QUESTION: excessive high idle when started ran codes and replaced maf,idle,tps search for broken vac hose still puzzeled

ANSWER: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash while driving the vehicle?.

If it IS or HAS illuminated and if you know how to retrieve the oodes from the computer, Please do so and let me know what codes you get.

QUESTION: it was the tps and maf short in circuit

ANSWER: I am glad to hear you resolved your problem by yourself. Do NOT forgrt to CLEAR (erase) any codes that may still be in the computers.

QUESTION: the car still has the ecessive idle after i replaced parts,whats next ,could it be the intake has a crack in it?


Answer
Is the check engine light illuminated on the dash ?. If NOT, Try spraying some carb cleaner all around the areas where you worked on and if the idle speed increases, You have a vacuum leak.

Did you remove the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE located above the TPS ?>
