Cadillac Repair/2004 Escalade ESV With No Heat or A/C

Question
I just got back from a 60-day trip and turned on my 2004 Escalade ESV and the heat in the front did not work (i.e. no air (cold or hot) came from the front vents including front windshield). The rear vents did work properly. What is the potential problem?

Answer
The first thing I would look for is a broken vacuum line that comes off the engine, Thru the firewall and into the A/C-Heater programmer.

It is usually a small thinblack plastic tube that may be mixed in with the wiring harness going thru the firewall or it may be by itself.

Since I retired in 2000, I am not familiar with this year vehicle.
