Question
will a transmission mount that ive noticed broken be the problem? light comes on but when i cut the car off the light will go away...on a 92 cadillac deville...v-8...thanks

Answer
A broken motor mount is highly unlikely to be causing the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT to illuminate. You need to access the computers via the CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL to see what FAULT CODES are stored in the computers.
