Question
Hello, I just bought a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS last Saturday for my first car.  It has a blown head gasket which I am going replace with a Rebuild Engine. Everything on it works fine, besides the stereo and sound system. Every time I try to start it up, the dash flashes with colour for about half a second, and that's it. I hear NO sound from the engine at all.  The previous owner said he just put in a new starter a few months ago. If I do have to replace the starter, where is it on the car and how do I get to it?  Thanks so much!

Answer
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information necessary to fix your vehicle.
