Cadillac Repair/93 seda deville - door locks don't work

Question
Problem: Entry lights on rear doors stay on when all doors closed and turn off when any door is open. AND Electric door locks failed at the same time the light problem happened.

I have replaced the fuse for the rear entry lights and door locks under the dash. It will work for a short time until passenger side door is slammed. Then it shorts again. After new fuse, all worked, then shorted again when I pushed the door jam "pin" by hand in. Could the pin be the problem? If not, any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information necessary to fix your vehicle.
