Expert: autohelp - 11/13/2009

I have an 89 deville 4.5 ltr fwd and the entire instrument panel incl. both info centers have gone out. Nothing happens when u turn the key on and start the car.When u turn the car off right as the key turns off all the gauges and heater display flash briefly then stay off. Is there a relay for all that? I know the car has a BCM that controls alot of that, but I'm not getting any error mess. or anything from any of the panels. Car still runs and drives fine and all the other lights work. Any advice would be helpful,thanks   Confused in texas

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
