Cadillac Repair/heater/blower in 1993 eldorado

Question
My heater/AC blower for my 1993 eldorado was stuck on high(the only way I could stop it from running was to disconnect it) then I replaced the heater resister now the blower doesn't come on at all. I still have heating coming up through the vents but no heat being blowed through the vents
Did you perform any TEST PROCEDURES prior to replacing the heater resistor ?. If NOT, and you have a shorted system, You may have very well DESTROYED the new resistor.
