Question
I have a 94 Cadillac Concours Deville with 33,000 miles. After driving for approx. 200 miles the check engine soon lights. When the codes are read it shows code 39-torque converter, and convertor clutch error. After shutting the engine off, the light goes off and stays off for 10 or 15 miles and then comes back on.

Answer
The most likely suspect is an intermittent fault of the TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID which is very common and not easily replaced. I can provide you with pictures and directives on how to test and replace this solenoid , But you will need to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com
