Cadillac Repair/1993 cadillac '60 special' trunk popped open

Question
hi,
i walked out of my apartment to get into my car. the trunk
was wide open. i don't know how long the trunk had been
open, since i had parked the car yesterday morning. I had
not accidentally opened it with the remote. this is the
first time this has happened. either a neighbor has a
similar remote, or my car is acting up by itself. is there
a way to turn off the remote for the trunk, so that the
only way the trunk will open is if i use my key or use the
button in the glove compartment? i don't want it popping
open so thieves can empty my trunk or the battery runs down
from the interior light. thank you for your help.

Answer
Yes there is , But you would need to disconnect the remote control output wire from the KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE.

This will require several pictures and detailed instructions in order to do this procedure.
