Question
QUESTION: 1992 cadillac eldorado was overheating and noticed the cooling fans weren't working; I had the radiator fixed and cleaned, replaced the upper radiator hose, replaced the T connector, checked for other leaks and loose hoses. Finally, I thought that replacing the coolant temperature sensor the car would ok and the service engine soon would go away.  Once the sensor was replaced the car felt a lot better, so I drove it on the freeway and went for about 7 miles.  Felt good when all of a sudden the dashboard reads service engine soon. What do you think  the problem is? Please help. Thank you.

ANSWER: Do you know how to retrieve the CODES from the computers when the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light illuminates ?.

If NOT, Follow this procedure.

1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position so the dash light light up, But do NOT start the engine.

2. On your climate control panel, Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons inward for 3 seconds and then release them.

3. On the display you will see NUMBERS and LETTERS WITH NUMBERS appear. Write down EXACTLY what you see as if you were video taping the display.

4. The display will stop at .70.

5. Turn OFF the ignition key.

QUESTION: It reads CODE E013, E015, E052, E073, R026, E091. I don't know CODE E073, and R026.  How can I fix the (open coolant sensor circuit air)?  Please help.  Thank you.

Answer
IF you would check the codes again, You will see either the word CURRENT or HISTORY after EACH code displays. I need to know which codes are CURRENT and which are HISTORY.
