QUESTION: I have a 1994 Cadillac Deville and its been having idling problems. When I drive the car for like 5 minutes it starts to cut off on me and take so many tries to start again and it keeps happening. The idling also is very rough. What should I do?

ANSWER: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash while driving the vehicle ?.

If it HAS and if you know how to retrieve the codes from the computers please do so and let me know what the codes are.

Answer
To check the CODES from the computer do this:

1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position. Do NOT start the engine.

2. On your climate control panel locate the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons and simultaneously push and hold them BOTH in for 3 seconds and release them.

3. On the fuel data display tell me EVERYTHING that appears as if you were video taping it and it will stop at PCM?

4. Turn OFF ignition key.
