Question
QUESTION: The instrument cluster (speedo/tach/information system) will be working fine, then it quits and the blower starts blowing.  The only way to turn the blower off, is to turn the key off.  Sometimes, when you turn the key back on, the cluster will work fine (for awhile) and sometimes it won't.  Been to several mechanics and they were unable to fix it.  What could be the problem?

ANSWER: When you are driving the vehicle, has the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash and or any lights that you have never seen illuminate before ?.

In the fuel display do you ever see any of these 3 things:

-c
-d
-151

If you do, Please let me know.

QUESTION: This is an analog cluster.  The SERVICE ENGINE light comes on sometimes, and most of the time the ANTI-LOCKING light stays on.  Then sometimes, the red BRAKE light comes on.  Then the hands on the speedo/tach/gas guage will start jumping around and the information system stops working and then the cluster quits.  But sometimes the tach continues to work.  After about a minute, that is when the blower comes on and stays on.  When I turn the key off and back on, the climate control is set 75 (no matter what it was set at before) and the speedometer pegs itself. (That is if it starts working again.)  Sometimes, it may go all day before it starts working again.  Do you think a new cluster will take care of this problem?

Answer
OK, It is RARE that I get a question that has an ANALOG speedometer.

NO, A new cluster may NOT be your problem. You could have a problem in the:

computer, AC/Heater programmer, Intermittent faulty ground circuit or half a dozen other possibilities.
