My  1999 Cadillac deville says on the dash "system disabled". i have cleaned the key and checked resistance.it will mot start or give me the restart process.it was doing fine and i parked an got in it to go to school and it wouldn't start.Sometime in the past i noticed it saying car may not restart

Answer
You either have a fault with the:

ignition key.

steering wheel lock cylinder or wiring from the cylinder .

Faulty PASS-KEY module.

IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

What work or diagnostics of ANYKIND WHAT-SO-EVER have been performed on the vehicle trying to fix this problem ?.

You iwill need numerous pictures and directives and a digital volt/ohm meter to properly test the system. Please e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com for this information.
