Question
QUESTION: Yesterday car slipped out of drive while driving worked in 3rd then that stopped, then 2nd, 1st, and even reverse went out. While this was happening noticed like a sweet smell. It's a 95 Cadillac deville 4.9 engine which i had a tune up and a transmission flush done 3mths ago. The check engine light came on but the only current code is P033. The AAA tow truck guy said it could be the pump or the band that went. What do you think? Would it be better to repair or replace the transmission altogether?

ANSWER: Really hard to say until you get the trans OUT of the vehicle and tear it down to have a look at what failed.

QUESTION: OK and i misread the error code it was T033 instead of P033

ANSWER: T033 is a right rear wheel sensor fault. When you read the code the word HISTORY or CURRENT should have appeared after the code.

Is it a history or current code ?.

QUESTION: It was the only current code everything else was history

Answer
The code has nothing to do with your current problem. I would remove the bottom transmission pan and see if there is any anti-freeze mixed in with the transmission fluid or smell the fluid to see if it has a burnt and or discolored look to the fluid and let me know.
