QUESTION: 1988 caddy 4.5 check engine light is on,codes say engine coolant sensor changed it,no cure. also cooling fans are running yet the engine is cold, after warm up the engine runs good.

QUESTION: E-15, and is there a sensor that controls the fans, I know chevy V8's have a sensor on the side of the block,I looked and can't find it,I tryed another computer got the same code.

E-15 is a fault in the COOLANT SENSOR circuit. It is NOT a coolant fan switch or sensor fault.

Wha t you need to do is access the computer via the climate control panel and see what reading you are getting from the coolant sensor and then perform a simple test which my grandmother can do to fix your problem.
