Cadillac Repair/1992 seville no distributor signal

Question
Hi, I have a 92 seville with a 4.9. I cleared the codes and only two reappeared current, E012 (no distributor signal) and E023(egr signal problem). I got the E012 code last week when the rpm gauge danced and my car felt like it was running out of gas. It cut off then failed to start again. I got a brand new cap and rotor as well as replaced the ignition module (used). It seemed to fix the problem but ended up leaving me stranded across town today. Getting it started is my main concern I plan to buy a new egr valve I replaced with a used one and got the same result.

Answer
The first thing you have to determine is if you are getting spark to the spark lugs and fuel to the engine. If you would like pictures, test procedures and technical assistance to help you diagnose and fix the problem, Please e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com
