QUESTION:
I just installed a new battery, battery cables and starter.  The car starts right up, the second I take my foot off the accelerator the engine immediately stalls.  It can be in Park or Drive it still stalls.  


ANSWER: Did you have this problem BEFORE you installed the new battery ?.

QUESTION: no. could it be fuel filter?

Answer
It is most doubtful that the fuel filter is the cause because the engine does start.

When you installed the said items is it possible that you knocked loose a wire and or vacuum line.

Look over your work area for any loose wires or loose, Broken vacuum lines.
