QUESTION: i have a 1992 cadillac seville these are the codes i got the first are history codes it looks like it saya ed 31,ed52,id33,id34,id37 and id52-and my current code is ad40.can you please help me out.
The ed codes are eo codes.
The id codes are io codes.
the ao codes are ao codes.
You need to CLEAR (erase) all the codes from the computer via the climate control panel ONLY.
Disconnecting the battery or pulling fuses will NOT CLEAR the codes.
Your e040 code is caused either by a faulty power steering pressure switch and or the wires that go down to the switch are shorted somewhere in the engine compartment.
