Cadillac Repair/TACHOMETER GOES TO ZERO

Question
My husband just replaced the spark plugs & wires on my 98 Cadillac Seville.  Now after driving for a while, car will chug and tachometer goes to zero.  Car will ride smooth again for awhile, then start chugging again.  If I stop, turn off the car, and restart it, tach works.  Process repeats itself.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Check the areas where you were working for any loose wires that you touched while replacing the spark plugs and wires. Check the electrical connection at the ignition module for any loose wires.

The easiest way is to start the car and have your wife sit in the car and with you wearing gloves manipulate every wire or wires in the areas where you were working to see if you accidentally knocked loose a wire.
