QUESTION: i have a 97 deville de elegance. i want to find out how i can reset check engine light because im trying to trade it in. i tried disconnecting the battery,but that didnt work thanks

ANSWER: The first thing I need to know is, If there are any CODES in the computers.

Do you know how to access the codes and if you do tell me what they are.

Answer
1. Turn ignition switch ON.

2. Do NOT start the engine.

3. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons INWARD on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

4. Look at your fuel display and you will see NUMBERS and either the letter C or H after EACH code displays.

5. The display will STOP at PCM?

6. Tell me EXACTLY what appears on the display as if you were video taping it.

7. Turn ignition switch OFF.
