Hi, i have a 1986 cadillac eldorado. it seems to operate corectly when you put it into drive, reverce. but the tranny will not shift through. I have been told that it is a relay behind the glove box can you give me any info on this thanks. steve.

There is NO relay behind the glove box. Somebody is giving you false information.

QUESTION: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash while driving the vehicle prior to this problem ?.

Is the check engine light ON now with the engine runnning ?.

Are you stating that when you put the trans in drive and try and drive the car the trans will not upshift to any higher gears ?.
