QUESTION: 95 eldorado idles fine but dies while driving. pull over turn ignition off and it restarts. i have already replaced computer and alternator. didnt work. any ideas?  thanks

ANSWER: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

What work or diagnostics of ANYKIND WHAT-SO-EVER have been performed on the vehicle trying to fix this problem ?.

QUESTION: it has never had the check engine light come on. the shop i took it to also tried replacing the fuel pump relay but no luck with that.the only light that comes on sometimes is the service ride control. could the problem be the fuel pump getting hot and then cycling the ignition restarts the pump or would this be something strictly electrical like a sensor?

YES, It could be an intermittent fault in the fuel pump or a faulty computer signal back to the fuel pump.

Buy yourself a spray can of STARTING FLUID and the next time it quits on you and won't restart right away, Spray some starting fluid into the air cleaner and see if the engine TRIES to start and let me know.
