Question
my husband and his friend recently replaced the starter on our 94 eldorado, however they didnt take the manifold off all the way, one of them held it up while the other got to the starter. Now the car keeps idling up and we cant get it to stop. We noticed a set off vacuum lines were cracked so we replaced those, but unfortunatel it didnt help. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Answer
You should have taken the manifold ALL the way OFF. You most likely have a vacuum leak in the intake gasket. Try spraying some carburator cleaner that comes in an aerosol spray can all around the intake manifold with the engine running and see if you notice a change in the engines idle speed. If you DO, Replace the intake gasket.
