Question
when i drive around town i have no problem. on highway another story. when it has been driven for over an hour, foot on gas all of sudden there is no gas , if i put in neutral and turn the key off, and restart it works ok for 10 minutes, and does it over and over till i get home.

Answer
You most likely have 2 possibilities:

1. The fuel pump is getting over heated and shutting down.

2. You have a buildup of foreign materuial in your gas tank and the pump sucks up the foreign debris and eventually plugs up the filter sock on the pickup tube for the pump and when the car shuts OFF you loose this suction and the debris falls back in to the fuel tank and this happens over and over.
