Question
Hi, I have a question about my Cadillac Deville. I was driving it for about 30km at 80km/hr. and all of a sudden the oil pressure sensor lit up. It then said to shut off the engine right away. I couldn't shut off engine as I was away from home. When I did get home I let the car cool for a bit to see what the problem was. I tried to check the coolant but it was still too hot after 45 min. of cooling. I just changed the oil in the car as well that day but it was after I had the message to shut off engine. It seems like a problem with the oil getting through the engine but is there any other thing that could be wrong. If it is a problem with the oil getting through the engine, what would that involve to get fixed. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out before I make the trip to the Cadillac dealer. Thank you very much
Nancy

Answer
I must be missing something, As your question seems kind of oDD.

1. The OIL PRESSURE light came ON ?.

2. You checked the anti-freeze because the OIL PRESSURE light came ON ?.

QUESTION: is the oil dipstick showing that the oil level is to LOW or is it showing that it
         is OVER FULL ?.

Is the anti-freeze showing that it is LOW ?.
