Question
I have an 86 cadillac el dorado and i drove it up to a week ago and it shows an E052 code, a b337 and b552 code upon diagnosing it. I smell gas near the TPS and it gave me also a 6.4 TPS ED01 code?? All i know is i am frustrated and have no idea how to get it started. I have a haynes repair manual and can't afford like 500 dollar repairs right now. Please help me!

Answer
The FIRST thing you want to do is throw that Hayes manual in the trash.

Are you POSITIVE you have a 1986 ?.

E052 = Battery voltage was removed from ECM the computer.

B337 = Loss of AC/Heater programmer data.

B552 = Battery voltage was removed from the BCM computer.

With the ignition key in the ON position. The ED01 should display a 0 or a 1 with your foot OFF of the gas pedal.

You need to remove (delete) ALL the codes from both computers via the climate control panel ONLY and then see what codes come back
