Cadillac Repair/Oil Light stays on with car turned off

Question
I have a 1992 Cadillac DeVille. The oil light is off while I am driving the car but once I turn the car off the oil light comes on and remains on. Because of this it is draining my battery.
Disconnect the oil pressure switch wire at the oil pressure switch and see if the light goes OUT. If it DOES, Replace the oil pressure switch.

QUESTION: What size engine do you have ?. 4.6L or 4.9L ?
