Question
They are phasing out all petrol that is not E10 in thenext few months here in Germany. What can I expect if I put E10 in this engine?

Thanks!

Answer
Hello,

I will assume you are referring to 10% ethanol which we are stuck with in the US as well as the E-85 (flex fuel), which is the biggest scam ever made in the oil industry. It takes an average of 1.5 gallons (not good at converting into liters) of diesel/gasoline to produce 1 gallon of ethanol. Yeah that's right, we are burning food to fuel our cars in the US and now it looks like you are stuck with the same crap.
This made a cottage industry to farmers, ethanol manufacturing plants. This is what happens when our US government creates jobs all under the ruse of climate change!
Yes, our government is arrogant using corn that starving people around the world could eat and using it as a fuel additive.

Expect to lose significant mileage. Since we have been stuck with this crap for over 15 years, there have been many complaints of engine problems with motorcycles and lawn mowers, but I have not had a problem running it in our high octane Navigator or my 7.4 L Suburban other than rotten fuel mileage. I do change the fuel filter every 50,000 miles or about 90,000 kilometers.

The 7.4 big block Chevy 454 back in 1999 without the ethanol would pull 17 mpg on the highway. Now with the 10% ethanol blend, I am lucky to pull 13 mpg.

Other problems are that if the fuel sits for a long period of time 3 months of non-usage, the fuel begins to break down.

Its still better than what the idiots in our US Environmental department did some years ago using MTBE. This stuff was so poison that it is my understanding that one gallon would destroy a 30 acre lake forever!!!

I am desperately looking to convert my Suburban over to bi-fuel with compressed natural gas, since it is so abundant in the US and cheap. CNG burns clean and takes your oil changes from 3,000 miles to 30,000 miles.

If you get the impression I have no use for our government's and now worldly policies, you are right!

All this to prevent climate change as per our idiot vice president Al Gore and others and yet off the subject, but not, all these idiots are so concerned about climate change and all the things they can scam to produce an industry, we don't talk about the real things that have a massive drastic effect on our earth, let's look at these things and leave our fuel alone: Earthquakes, Volcanos, and 1,985 atom bombs that have been blasted around the world. Instead, it's easier for them to take advantage of the public with poison light bulbs, crappy fuel and the list goes on and on!

I appreciated your question because I got the opportunity to vent on the things that really irk me as it comes to fuel and the environment.

Good luck and enjoy!!! We do--lol

Alarm system questions cannot be answered on this forum. These systems are not what I can answer. Without being physically at the vehicle and not knowing what kind of electrical service has been done on the vehicle, there is no possible way to give an accurate answer over the internet. My expertise is in Ignition/key based anti-theft systems. These issues include GM VATS (resistor chip in key blade) PASSLOCK (MRD)-ignition lock rotation based, no special ignition key and the PKIII Transponder (computer chip in key) systems. These systems are not alarm based and are integral with the starting of the engine. This is why I cannot diagnose alarm problems without physically looking at the vehicle: Alarm systems are a completely different annimal than ignition key/lock based anti-theft system. Many alarm questions come from vehicles 10 years old, and since older, many hands that had been involved over the years.I am an expert in all GM factory (ignition/key based)systems. Alarm system questions pose to many situations beyond my knowledge as to what has been done to the vehicle over the years. Some guy may have actually wired the stereo into the alarm system. Who knows? Over my past 30 years in vehicle wiring repair, I have seen unbelievable wiring disaters done by guys that consider themselves "mechanics." I have seen stereos and alarms intalled using surgical tape. I have seen modules burn up, un-fused circuits, wiring jambed between the doors and even lamp cord used for a starter kill. To answer alarm questions over the internet without examining the vehicle is like asking; What does it take to remove a dent?
