Answer
Hello,

People like you sometimes make me pause and think as to why I am even volunteering my time and knowledge to the public. Fortunately, 99% of the questioners are mature and my answers assist them greatly.
I will not stoop to the level as to the kind of person you obviously are, and no matter what answer you were given, you would not be satisfied.
If I did not know better, I would say this was a set up question from one of the pitiful experts I have successfully opposed doing what they do best-act as a cry baby!
For you to say that the information I gave you any 4th grader would know, that sounds like an opinion with no factual basis on your part, very similar to the so-called experts I successfully oppose every day.
I would like to thank you though because it has been about 6 months since I have run across a person like you, making me realize that I cannot give the answers to every vehicle problem.
I do all this volunteering of my time to help people. I realize I have been doing this for at least 10 years. Thousands of answers, hundreds of hours of my time. Out of that time I think I have only run into 20 people like you. I take pride in doing my best to help those people with real problems and most people can't say enough about how I helped them.

There was no reason for your snide remarks. If my answer didn't assist you, then you should have just moved on. As I said, there must be a motive for you to throw such hurtful comments about me not even recognizing I was polite to you.

Oh well, I will not reply to you again and focus on the wonderful people I can actually assist.

Have a very nice day.

Rob

Alarm system questions cannot be answered on this forum. These systems are not what I can answer. Without being physically at the vehicle and not knowing what kind of electrical service has been done on the vehicle, there is no possible way to give an accurate answer over the internet. My expertise is in Ignition/key based anti-theft systems. These issues include GM VATS (resistor chip in key blade) PASSLOCK (MRD)-ignition lock rotation based, no special ignition key and the PKIII Transponder (computer chip in key) systems. These systems are not alarm based and are integral with the starting of the engine. This is why I cannot diagnose alarm problems without physically looking at the vehicle: Alarm systems are a completely different annimal than ignition key/lock based anti-theft system. Many alarm questions come from vehicles 10 years old, and since older, many hands that had been involved over the years.I am an expert in all GM factory (ignition/key based)systems. Alarm system questions pose to many situations beyond my knowledge as to what has been done to the vehicle over the years. Some guy may have actually wired the stereo into the alarm system. Who knows? Over my past 30 years in vehicle wiring repair, I have seen unbelievable wiring disaters done by guys that consider themselves "mechanics." I have seen stereos and alarms intalled using surgical tape. I have seen modules burn up, un-fused circuits, wiring jambed between the doors and even lamp cord used for a starter kill. To answer alarm questions over the internet without examining the vehicle is like asking; What does it take to remove a dent?
