Question
I get good oil psi, sometimes my oil icon light will light up on the dash, Why causes this?

Answer
1. LOW oil level. Did you check the dipstick to be sure it's FULL ?.

2. LOW oil pressure. you need to install a KNOWN GOOD external oil pressure gage on the engine to yu can physically see the PSI's.

3. Faulty oil pressure sending switch.

4. Faulty oil level sensor.


Perform procedure # 2 FIRST.
