Cadillac Repair - alternator removal on 94 cadillac concourse
Expert: Bill Cherniwchan - 2/11/2005
Question we have removed all 3 bolts that hold the alternator in and it still doesnt want to move wondering if there is a 4th bolt or another procedure that we need to do
Answer Hi Tim, You will need to look for the 4th bolt. On the pulley side there should be a bolt up at the top and then the long bolt at the bottom. Then on the backside there will be 2 more bolts that come through the bracket. If memory serves that bracket needs to be unbolted from the engine wth 2 bolts before 1 of the bolts can be removed that holds the bracket to the alternator. Bill
