Question
how do I cook pork ribs so they are fall off the bone tender?

Answer
Deare Diane:

Many will tell you to boil the ribs for approx 15 minutes in water and then bake or BBQ them. I am going to tell you my own personal tried-and-tested full-proof method of cooking very tender ribs.

1. Marinate your ribs in your favorite marinate for at least 12 hours in the fridge.
2. Put the ribs on a broiler pan or cookie sheet and place in a 200 degree Fahrenheit oven for approx 6-8 hours (depending on the size of the ribs, i.e., baby backs will take less time). Keep a watchful eye from hour 4 to 6 to make sure the ribs do not dry out.
3. You will know that the ribs are tender by placing a knife in the meat and it falls off the bone.
4. Baset with your favorite BBQ sauce and grill on the BBQ for about 10 minutes.

Get plenty of napkins ready -- you will be licking your fingers!

NOTE: If you cook these on a broiler pan or on a rack inside your cookie sheet, your ribs will not be greasy.

Please let me know if I can be of further help.

I have grown up under my mother`s skirt in the kitchen. I can remember cooking at the age of four. My love affair with the kitchen has led me to all sorts of cultures of food including German and most recently, Cajun and Creole cooking. I can answer questions dealing with most aspects of these cuisines and wish to share my knowledge that otherwise may not be in a cook book. I am not a chef (yet), but hope to be one sometime in the future. I have 30 years experience in my mother`s kitchen as well as my own.
